Bob has had the honor of being asked a few times in his career, to write a "custom" song, for a special day or occasion. The first time, it was for a wedding. He toiled over it for a few weeks and had nothing he was happy with. But a few days before the wedding, he was checking the weather (it was an outdoor wedding), and was pleased to hear the announcer proclaim "Saturday is going to be a BEAUTIFUL day!...and for some reason, the song below just "popped" out...
"Beautiful Love" (written for Dan and Emily)
Oh what a day, what a beautiful day,
What a beautiful day, to get married today
To get married today, what a beautiful day
Oh how you look, so perfectly dressed,
So perfectly glowing, you light up the place
And oh what a time, what a beautiful time,
That’s waiting for you, the time of your lives
We’ll be laughing and singing and smiling and grinning
And looking back and looking ahead
And the candles and linens
The women and children, will be dancing and having a time
And the cameras will try….to capture the night,
and hold it frozen, frozen in time
But when the guests have all gone, and the flowers died
All you’re left holding is the love you have inside, the love, your beautiful love
May it pick you up and carry you wherever you go
Comfort and guide you, when you need it the most
Whether you’re sailing the open seas, or just an ordinary day
In everything you do, and everything you say
In your gestures and your looks, down to your soul, make no mistake this is how it goes your love, your beautiful love
Oh what a day, what a beautiful day,
What a beautiful day to get married today
To get married today, what a beautiful day

The second such "custom" song request was for an Anniversary. 50 Years. He didn't get much from the requesters such as how they met, any unique situations about their matrimonial experience other than the statement "just hold on"...that's the secret to 50 years. Ok, thanks for that. So, this song came out about 48 hours before the Anniversary party.
"Wild Pony" (For Tom and Pat)
Here we are darling, and it sure didn’t get here slow
If we stand in the perfect light we look just like we did, 50 years ago
We’re the same shoe size and the look in your eyes hasn’t gone away
I still got the suit and you still have the dress, maybe we could step on back to that day
One Mississippi two Mississippi, counting all the years go by
We passed by the place where half the memories have erased, there’s nothing left now, but this feeling inside
Trouble was at the back door but lord we never let him in
You took my hand we dove into the deepest waters and together we learned to swim
Everybody wants to know the secret of a lifetime of love
Take care of yourself , learn to forgive, and never try to figure out what they’re thinking of
One Mississippi two Mississippi, counting all the years go by
Love’s a wild pony and boy she loves to run you just hold on for the ride…just hold on.
Yeah she swings you up and swings you around and and you never know where you’ll land….so just hold on…. and let that pony ride
Well here we are darling, and it sure didn’t get here slow
If we stand in the perfect light look just like we’ve got 50 years ago…so just hold on

Bob has had the honor of playing the wedding song at 4 weddings now and is always humbled to be invited to share his music at these most important and special days. No, he is not a "wedding singer" ha, far from it, but he does enjoy the opportunity to bring his music into a special life situation. It is a great honor.
Inquiries are welcomed.
